Example: in Chrau du tong aq one crossbow, tong is a sortal classifier for long objects that refers to the crossbow (aq) and combines with the modifier du one. A sortal classifer contrasts with a mensural classifier in that it does not measure out an amount of the object (crossbow), it simply classifies it by its type or sort. The Model of Comparative concepts for Constructicon Alignment (MoCCA; Lorenzi et al. 2024) proposes to connect constructions across and within languages using Comparative Concepts as a shared base of comparison. It adopts the set of Comparative Concepts provided by Croft (2022).
