a fixed-case strategy in comparative constructions in which there is a clause which attributes a gradable predicative scale to the comparee, and the standard is expressed as an oblique argument phrase using a spatial flag with an allative (to) meaning. Example: Nuer diid ne gän ke ji I am bigger than youis an instance of the allative comparative -- diid ne gän asserts that I am big, and ke ji expresses the standard, you, with a flag ke meaning to. The Model of Comparative concepts for Constructicon Alignment (MoCCA; Lorenzi et al. 2024) proposes to connect constructions across and within languages using Comparative Concepts as a shared base of comparison. It adopts the set of Comparative Concepts provided by Croft (2022).
